Joyce Parsons Scholarship Fund
All scholarships for 2025 have been awarded
A scholarship fund was established on August 17, 2005 for Joyce Parsons, retired founder of the organizations. Her goal was to provide funds for educating members of the organizations by participation in the local and national organizations.
Purpose:
The fund is to be used to provide financial assistance to members of the organization for the purpose of attending CACEO sponsored training or national conferences.
Distribution:
This fund will be made available to any paid member of the organization, including board members.
There are no deadlines to request the fund. It will be available anytime throughout the calendar year until the fund is depleted. Any unused funds from one calendar year will roll over to the next calendar year.
To apply for the Joyce Parsons Scholarship Fund, please send an email to [email protected] and include the following:
1. Approval from the candidate’s immediate supervisor.
2. The requested amount of the scholarship, which may only be up to the cost of registration fee for the event.
3. The purpose it will be used for and other pertinent information.
4. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the event.
Recipients will be required to provide receipts with a completed expense report, unless the association pays the scholarship directly to the event.
Scholarships shall be limited to one per jurisdiction per year.
Recipients that attend events or courses that have testing criteria will be required to complete all aspects of the course.
The applications will be reviewed by the board and decisions as to the amount and distribution will be made by board vote.
Board votes shall be final and no recipient will be allowed to contest the allocation of the distribution.
